Cambridge Lower Secondary

Year 7 & 8

The Lower Secondary Programme has a rigorous and robust curriculum with a wide range of subjects to prepare students for High School.

It strengthens students’ knowledge and skills in English, Mathematics, Science, and Humanities for more specialised studies in High School while developing their creativity, expression, and wellbeing in a variety of ways. Students enrolled in the Lower Secondary programme will take a number of subjects from the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).

These subjects are designed specially to prepare students from the age of 13 – 14 years old for the highly recognised Cambridge International General Certificate School Education (IGCSE) programme.

3 FPS Insurance Protection Fee rate will be adjusted to the prevailing rate.

Attendance Criteria

All students need to attend at least 75% of classes. Student’s Pass holders are required to maintain an attendance of 90% and above to meet the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority requirement.

Explicit classroom teaching techniques, inquiry-based learning, and cooperative learning through a self-directed learning (SDL) approach that are in line with current best practices to support students’ learning and prepare them well for life-long learning.

Cambridge Lower IGCSE

Year 9 and 10

The Cambridge IGCSE programme has been around for more than 30 years, and it is the world’s most popular international qualification for 15 to 16 year olds.

The qualification is recognised by most schools, institutions of higher learning and universities for admission to their courses. This programme is highly recognised worldwide, and it prepares students well for pre-university education such as the Cambridge International AS & A Levels programme. At SISH Institute, we have a wide range of IGCSE subjects for our students to choose from, and more ways to learn from our team of  experienced teachers.

Cambridge Advanced

Year 11 and 12

The Cambridge International AS & A Level programme prepares High School students for university study. Universities worldwide value and recognise Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications.

It develops understanding and skills for in-depth subject content enabling students to apply their knowledge and understanding to new as well as familiar situations. Students are encouraged to think logically and present ordered, coherent arguments with reasoned explanations throughout the programme. It also allows students to specialise in a particular subject area or study a range of subjects according to their interest. Some subjects can be started in the Cambridge International AS Level and extended to the Cambridge International A Level.
