For our hotel site visit, we selected Orchard Hotel, a pioneer in sustainability. This hotel has demonstrated a proactive approach to reducing its environmental footprint, with a Science-Based Target to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 27% by 2030. Our students were thrilled to witness these efforts firsthand, from eco-friendly guest amenities to energy-efficient systems and waste reduction strategies. The tour highlighted the importance of sustainability in hospitality, leaving students inspired to integrate eco-conscious practices into their future careers.
By visiting the hotel, students also explored its facilities, gaining valuable insights into how amenities enhance the guest experience and foster brand loyalty. This immersive experience gave them a unique perspective on delivering exceptional service, backed by sustainable practices.
After the tour, our students engaged in collaborative discussions to assess the hotel’s strengths and brainstorm potential improvements. This critical thinking exercise enriched their understanding of hotel management, reinforcing the value of our programme in preparing them for leadership roles in the hospitality industry.
With a focus on practical learning, sustainability, and comprehensive industry knowledge, our Advanced Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management equips students with the skills and confidence to thrive in the fast-paced world of hospitality.
