Today, Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management (ADHTM) students organised and showcased a Marketing Fair based on European and Asian cuisine.
Led by Ms Yee Huey, our adjunct lecturer, the students were given creative freedom and a set of guidelines to draft and pitch their booth ideas.
As part of their marketing assignment, students have to establish budget goals, plan the logistics, design the booth and menu, as well as honing their soft skills such as organisational skills and adaptability.
The students put in an effort to dress up costumes in accordance with the culture they are assigned to. They also whipped up a plethora of dishes and snacks from Italian, French, and Japanese cuisine.
For almost all marketing fairs, the objective goes beyond understanding theoretical and practical know-how of events management. For this marketing fair, the profits will be donated to Singapore Association Of The Visually Handicapped (SAVH), the national voluntary welfare organization for the visually impaired.
