Barry Hayes

Associate Dean

Mr Barry Hayes has over 35 years of professional managerial experience in hospitality. Barry completed a management trainee programme with the THF PostHouses (UK). In 1998 Barry came to Asia to assist in setting up a resort business and has stayed on since. He managed a group of resort/hotels in South East Asia specialising in leisure & water sports; with General Manager (GM) postings in Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. He then settled down permanently in Singapore where he was the Director Representative for the group’s 15 resorts in South East Asia. Barry was also instrumental in building the S$2m water sports Centre on the East Coast in 2008 before becoming an educator.

Barry possesses BA (hons), MSc, (UK) a professional membership for the Institute for Hospitality (UK). He is a certified trainer (ACTA) and registered Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT – USA). He is continuing to study for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) specialising in the hospitality HRM.

Didi Yip

Lecturer and Industry Liaison Officer

Ms Yip has 18 years of industry experience in Hospitality. Being passionate in Hospitality, she plied her trade with several luxury hospitality groups such as InterContinental Hotel, Capella Hotel, The Fullerton Hotel, Holiday Inn Hotel, Amara Santuary Resort, Royal Plaza on Scotts, resuming different positions such as Front Office Manager and Hotel Operations Manager.

She holds a Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality from University of Nevada Las Vegas, USA. She holds other Hospitality professional certifications such as Comply with Legal Requirements, SHATEC professional certificate Front Office Operations and Management.

Presently, she is serving as Lecturer at SISH Institute where she is responsible for coordinating industrial attachment of students.

Khairill Rassidy

Adjunct Lecturer

Mr Khai Rassidy is a certified, UK-trained (Chartered International Institute of Security & Crisis Management) consultant, doing consulting work for the future Changi Airport T5 project. He is certified as ACTA trained and a US coach based consultant from the Santa Fe Center.

After spending more than 20 years in various government law enforcement agencies, Khai moved on to the commercial side of the safety, security and project management domain to expand his knowledge and work skill sets in the cruise, auxiliary and aviation industry.

Previously, in the maritime cruise and ferry industry, Khai was leading and managing a team of auxiliary officers to ensure passengers’ safety and security were of paramount. Working hand in hand with the customs, intelligence and cruise/ferry fleet clients, Khai strove to ensure that no safety and security features were breached at the 3 Cruise Centre terminals in Singapore.

Ng Puay Chuan

Adjunct Lecturer

Mr. Ng Puay Chuan has a wealth of teaching experience, as well as 30 years of excellent career record in Senior Management and Board member position with MNC (Multi-National Corporation) and public listed corporations. Over the years, he led corporations in general management, business development, finance and management accounting in various industries such as services, manufacturing and building maintenance and construction. He obtained an Executive MBA from Golden Gate University, United States of America, and a Bachelor degree in Business majoring in Finance from RMIT University, Australia.

His role in SISH covers lecturing in Corporate Finance, Management and Financial Accounting and Business Management modules.

Lim Chee Kong

Adjunct Lecturer

Mr. Lim Chee Kong is a management practitioner and an adjunct lecturer of SISH Institute. He is currently the General Manager of a motorcycle helmet distribution company. He is also a committee member of a workgroup on the review of SS9 protective helmets for motorcyclists, which is headed by Traffic Police. Chee Kong started his career as a Branch-In-Charge for a supermarket retailer in Singapore. Next, he spent the next 5 years doing international sales and marketing of food products in the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, North America and Oceania.

Chee Kong obtained his MBA in International Food Management from Essec Business School, a grand ecole in Paris, France. He also has a BA in Business and Finance from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom, and a Specialist Diploma in Supply Chain Management from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore. He is fluent in English and Mandarin, and conversant in French.
