SISH Institute joyfully celebrated the achievements of its graduates in a memorable ceremony held on 18 November, 2024, at the Goodwood Park Hotel. Family, friends, faculty, and distinguished guests came together to honour the graduates’ remarkable accomplishments and mark this significant milestone in their lives.
The event began with an uplifting speech by Mr. Barry Hayes, Associate Dean of SISH Institute, who warmly congratulated the graduates. He emphasised that this occasion was a celebration of their hard work, perseverance, and the dreams that had brought them to this proud moment.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Damien Tan, General Manager of PARKROYAL on Beach Road, President of the Association of Rooms Division Executives Singapore, and Member of the Hotel Sustainability Committee, Singapore Hotel Association. Mr. Tan captivated the audience with insights into job prospects and growth in the hospitality industry, weaving in stories from his own journey. He encouraged graduates to embrace opportunities with confidence and navigate their paths in this dynamic field.
Graduation is a moment of transition—a conclusion of the graduates’ academic journey at SISH Institute and the launch of an exciting new chapter. Armed with the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies, along with their passion and determination, the graduates are now poised to shape their futures and build fulfilling careers.
Adding a personal touch to the ceremony, Mr. Flor Jacques and Mr. Jeff Teh, alumni of the Vatel Bachelor’s Degree in International Hotel Management, shared heartfelt reflections on their academic experiences and growth during their time at SISH.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards, celebrating the accomplishments of students across various programs, including Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Postgraduate Diplomas, Bachelor’s Degrees, and Master’s Degrees.
The ceremony concluded with an inspiring closing speech by Mr. Stephen See, Executive Director of SISH Institute, “You are—and always will be—a cherished part of the SISH Institute family. Wherever your journey takes you, know that we’ll be cheering you on as you make your mark on the world. One guest, one flight, one deal at a time, go forward with confidence, lead with purpose, and never stop dreaming big!”
