SISH Institute were delighted to host students from Temasek International College (TIC), Myanmar on the 15 to 25 September 2019.
The TIC students were here for a study tour, of which they have learnt about Singapore’s hospitality and tourism industry, food and beverage operations, grooming as well as fine dining etiquette.
During their 10 days here, they had a packed itinerary involving exploring various places of interest in Singapore, alongside with many hands-on activities!
URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority)
TIC students learnt on how long-term and comprehensive planning paved the way for Singapore🇸🇬 to become a distinctive and liveable city.
Interactive Mocktail workshop
They also participated in an interactive mocktail workshop under Mr Clarence’s guidance. The students were taught basic bartending techniques and the various mixing methods. The session saw lots of smiles and laughter and we hope the students enjoyed themselves during the session!
Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa
They also visited Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa to learn more about their facilities. They had an exclusive guided tour within the hotel and were fascinated by the beautiful venues and rooms available for guests!

Henderson Wave and Hort Park
Excursion to Henderson Wave and Hort Park to observe how Singapore maximises the utility of green pockets🌿!
Indian Heritage Centre
TIC students also visited the Indian Heritage Centre to learn the culture, heritage and history of the Indian and South Asian communities in the Southeast Asian region.
Fine Dining Experience: M Hotel Singapore
To end off the day, they enjoyed a 3 course meal at M Hotel Singapore, learning the do’s and don’ts of fine dining etiquette.
