We are proud to announce our students who will be heading to the final round of National Cocktail Competition 2018 (Student Category) – a big congratulations to finalists Julie, Abigail, and Melody!
For the 30th National Cocktail Competition happening today till Friday at the ProWine Asia event, our representatives; Julie (ADHTM), Abigail (ADHTM), Melody (ADHTM), Stefanie (Vatel Bachelor’s), and Jaspal (ADHTM), have trained hard for this national competition with numerous practice.
National Cocktail Competition 2018 provides students with a great learning experience for them to showcase their bartending flair in front of key industry players and gain exposure in bar mixology performance and showmanship. Held at Expo Singapore this year, the contestants stepped onto the stage and were given 5 minutes to concoct a drink in front of a sea of international audiences and a panel of 3 judges.
Out of the total 13 contestants from private and public educational institutions, only 5 have qualified for the final round. The 5 finalists are 3 students from SISH, 1 from Shatec, and 1 from ITE. The all-female finalist team will compete against each other on this Friday, 27 April 2018.
Mr Clarence, the lecturer in charge and the trainer for SISH students, mentions that this these students are his best team of 5 that he has trained in his time at SISH Institute. He added that everyone did a great job in the competition today. Under the guidance of Mr Clarence who previously trained students for Food & Hotel Asia, Bacardi Grand Pix, and National Bartenders Competition, SISH successfully clenched the first and second prizes in the National Cocktail Competition last year.
We would like to commend our students for their hard work and brilliant showmanship today. Keep up the good work, and we wish all finalists all the best in their final round on Friday!
