SISH Alumni Spotlight: Phan Thu Hong Anh (Alice)

Class of 2015 SISH alumna (Class of 2015) Phan Thu Hong Anh (Alice) shares her most memorable time at SISH Institute!

“One of the most memorable parts of my SISH Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management days was the practical training where my friends and I had hands-on experience in an actual setting and met our lecturer’s super high expectations of hotel services standards!

I am currently working as a childcare teacher, and at the same time, helping out at her family hawker business. For childcare, my job is to plan lesson plans holistically and conduct lessons or activities daily for the children and take care of their well-being and basic daily needs. For my family business, I am in charge of keeping track of the daily sales, settling bills and helping out in daily operations.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a big “thank you” to Dr Fred, Mr Edwin and Mr Craig for their continuous support and guidance during my school days! Upon completion of the diploma programme, I am more confident in myself and I believe I am well-equipped with a stronger foundation in knowledge and understanding of the industry.

My advice to the students out there: We all have dreams and goals. To make it happen takes a lot of determination, self-discipline and effort. Believe in what you are doing, dream big and the sky is within reach!”
